• Certificate of ‘No Impediment to Marriage’ - This can be obtained from your local department of foreign affairs or your embassy in the country in which you are getting married,

• Apostille Stamp - Some countries require foreign legal documents to be stamped with an apostille which then makes them legal documents in that country. It is essential to present these documents in advance to the marriage registrar as without them your marriage is not considered legal in that country as well as in your country.

• Passport, birth certificate and other recognition papers are also required for identification.

• Apart from all these you need to submit an “affidavit to marry” in your respective embassies, both husband and wife will need to complete individual affidavits.

• If you have previously been married, you will need to complete an additional form and show your original final divorce papers.

• A copy of your passport photo pages and arrival cards will need to accompany the affidavits.
